Yucca Valley police ask for public’s help in finding attempted murder suspect

(San Bernardino County Sheriff's Dept.)

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of trying to kill a Yucca Valley woman on Monday night.

Deputies were called to Avalon Avenue a little before 7 pm due to reports of a woman and children screaming, according to Z107.7. The woman said the suspect broke into her home through a window.

She said the man entered the bathroom, where she was bathing two of her children, and choked her. She said he then shoved her against the wall and punched her in the face.  The woman told police she thought she was going to die because she lost consciousness during the assault.

The victim was able to headbutt Brazee, dazing him enough for her to get enough time to flee with her children. The suspect then fled the scene after hearing neighbors calling 9-1-1.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Gregory Brazee. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.

Update: Brazee was arrested after being spotted at the Yucca Valley Walmart Tuesday morning.
