You can drink wine out of a can at Coachella this year

The classiest of classy people know that wine is best when slurped out of a can and this year, you can do just that at Coachella.

Cupcake Vineyards has announced that they are the Coachella Music and Arts Festival’s 2019 wine sponsor #brandchella. And not only that, they will be slingin’ Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc in 375ml cans – which will be the first time any beverage has been available in a can during Coachella.

“We are honored to be the first-ever beverage in a can available at the festival in Coachella history,” Eben Gillette, Vice President of Marketing for Cupcake Vineyards said in a press release. “Our cans are the perfect portable, shareable, and unbreakable solution to enjoying delicious wine outdoors, so there’s no better place than Coachella to show festival-goers a new way to enjoy Cupcake wine.”

It would be nice if the beer peeps followed suit, but I’m guessing you will still be gulping down your IPAs and Heineken our of plastic cups once again.

In addition to the canned wines, Cupcake has also announced that they will have a “Frozie Factory” where you can get a “wine drink personalized with your own edible selfie.”

Here’s an example:

If you are not headed to the fest, Cupcake Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc cans were available at select retailers starting yesterday for the suggested retail price of $5.99 each.

No word on how much they will cost you at Coachella, but I think it’s safe to say it will be more than that.
