“All campgrounds are currently full and visitors can expect up to an hour wait time at the Joshua Tree entrance,” the park stated in a press release on Thursday.
Joshua Tree National Park is exceptionally busy this week. Please plan on entering the park either through the South Entrance through Cottonwood via I-10 or the North Entrance in Twentynine Palms. •••••••••••••••••••••• Traffic is backing up severely at the West Entrance Station in the town of Joshua Tree. Avoid using this entrance if at all possible until after #NewYearsDay. •••••••••••••••••••••• Also, please #carpool to reduce the number of vehicles entering the park. Well, that certainly sounds like no fun at all.
If you do happen to get inside, parking has been an issue, according to the National Park:

Luckily, assuming Rick Perry doesn’t accidentally set off a bunch of nukes next month, the park will be around for a while. Maybe just make plans to visit next month.
