A Florida woman glued her eye shut when she quirted fingernail glue into her eye thinking it was Visine.

Katherine Gaydos told WPBF that eight days ago a “friend” was blowing leaves with a leaf blower and it blew something into her eye. She asked that “friend” to get her some Visine. The “friend” handed her a bottle and she immediately put the contents in her eye.

“It’s stuck to my eyelids and my eyeball and it really hurts,” Gaydos said in her WPBF interview.

Gaydos called 911 and was treated by a doctor, but eight days later her eyelid was still tightly shut. Worse yet, her doctor said he would not treat her anymore without payment. #ThanksObama

After her interview aired on TV, her doctors office called Gaydos and offered her further treatment (funny how bad publicity always seems to get people in a helpful mood).

She says the doctor put Lidocaine above and below her eye and is going to scrape the glue off her cornea (OMG!!!).  But, the doctor believes she will have no permanent damage.
