A female Mexican citizen was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after a K-9 unit discovered she had 41 pounds of methamphetamine in her vehicle.

The drugs were concealed in the empty spaces near the wheels and the spare tire in the 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to the Desert Sun. The meth was wrapped in 37 individual packages.

“Narcotic trafficking organizations try all types of concealment methods to import dangerous drugs into our communities,” said Chief Patrol Agent Gloria I. Chavez. “Our agents’ diligence successfully thwarted this smuggling attempt, shielding our neighborhoods from this poison.”
