Woman allegedly fires shot at family in road rage incident near Beaumont

A Perris woman was arrested on Thursday after police say she allegedly shot at a family of six in a road rage incident south of Beaumont.

The woman, who was not named, allegedly fired a single shot at another car about 9 am on state Route 79, north of Gilman Springs Road, according to Beaumont Patch.

Police say that a Hemet man, traveling with his wife and four kids, got into an argument with the woman – who then brandished a gun and fired at the man’s SUV. No one was injured.

The man called in the woman’s license plate and police arrested her on the 60 Freeway near Day Street in Moreno Valley. Police say the recovered a gun during the arrest and a pistol slug near the scene of the shooting.
