While you were sleeping Wednesday night, winter happened all around Southern California.

Up in the mountains, they got plenty of the white stuff – with Bear Mountain Resort in Big Bear reporting about six inches of new snow.

It looks like there is even more snow on the way this weekend – but, if you go, be sure to bring some chains.

As for the desert, a little more than a 1/10 of an inch fell overnight.  Not a ton.  But, better than nothing.

Temps should be nice for the rest of the week, with the forecast calling for highs in the low 70s all the way through the weekend.

Perfect weather for rainbow hunting.
