Where to get free student meals during the coronavirus school closure

Local school districts are distributing meals for students during the districts’ coronavirus closure. You can get more info at the links below.

Coachella Valley Unified School District

CVUSD will be distributing “grab & go” meals from the 12 schools and 14 additional community locations throughout the region where meals will be distributed. District Transportation will be parking at the community locations for 20 minutes and staff will distribute meals to those present. CVUSD will have a total of 26 different locations where families can pick up their meals.

Desert Sands Unified School District

DSUSD will be distributing “grab-and-go” cold meals Monday through Friday beginning on March 16th.Students will be offered free breakfast and lunch between 10 am and 12:00 noon each day:

  • Franklin Elementary
  • Indio High
  • Jackson Elementary
  • Johnson Elementary
  • La Quinta High
  • Paige Middle
  • Palm Desert Charter Middle
  • Shadow Hills High
  • Van Buren Elementary

Palm Springs Unified School District:

PSUSD will be distributing free breakfast and lunch meals from Monday through Friday from March 16th through April 3rd while schools are closed due to the coronavirus. Meals may be be picked up at most school site parking lots and will be distributed at all bus routes to those who would like to pick up meals there. Children do not have to be enrolled at PSUSD to receive a meal.
