A Valley man and woman were arrested in August on suspicion of child molestation and child pornography charges, police announced Thursday.
The Desert Hot Springs Police Department received information about video that contained sexual abuse of a child on August 16, according to a news release. The video also revealed that child pornography was being manufactured and distributed.
Following a joint probe with Homeland Security, Michael Flaherty, of Desert Hot Springs, was arrested on August 16, 2017 in Palm Springs, for numerous charges related to the molestation of a child as well as manufacturing and distributing child pornography.
Two weeks later, Cynthia Fuentes, of Coachella, was arrested after police allege she had molested a child as well as manufactured and distributed child pornography. Fuentes was arrested on August 30 in Coachella.
