Two shot at Toucans nightclub in Palm Springs

Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries early Sunday morning after they were shot at Toucans Tiki Lounge in Palm Springs.

The shooting happened just before 2 am at the nightclub on North Palm Canyon Drive, according to Palm Springs Police. The shooting followed an argument inside the club.

According to PSPD, the shooting then occurred near the parking lot following the argument.  Two men sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The unidentified suspect fled the location and is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 20-30 years old wearing a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and had tattoos on his neck.

There were several witnesses present who fled the location prior to the arrival of officers. Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to contact the Palm Springs Police Department at 760-778-8411.

The shooting comes just days after another Palm Springs nightclub, Zelda’s, was closed for at least 45 days by the city after issues with their surveillance cameras and failing to stay in compliance with a security plan.
