Be sure to read that man’s sign closely.

“I AM NOT homeless. SB Police. Looking for seatbelt/cell phone violators.”

That was the sign held up by San Bernardino police officer Clint Walton last Wednesday. According to The Press Enterprise Walton, along with 3 other officers with similar clothing and cardboard signs (along with some nearby motorcycle officers waiting to pull people over), hung out at off ramps of Highway 210 busting plenty of drivers for infractions.

In less than three hours, the team busted 33 drivers for cellphone violations and 15 for seat belt violations. An additional five vehicles were impounded due to the car’s driver being unlicensed or driving on suspended licenses.

Yes, some drivers tried to give the “homeless” cops money, but they declined.

The cops in San Berdoo have been tricky before. In 2000, the city was able to sneak a camera into Flesh Night Club to tape workers committing illegal acts by having an officer sit in a wheelchair – so as not to arouse suspicion when the club’s metal detectors went off.

The plan worked as cops recorded two dancers performing illegal acts with each other only to see a court rule that paying performers to commit acts on each other was not illegal unless it directly involved one of the club’s patrons – which is now a random court ruling that you bot you and I did not know before.

Bottom line, if you are heading to San Bernardino, watch out!  Because literally anyone and anything could be a cop in disguise!
