15-foot tree embedded in car grill tips off police to drunk driver

A police officer in Roselle, Illinois was tipped off to a potential drunk driver by a very small and subtle clue: a 15-foot tree embedded in the front grill of a car – a car that was still, both remarkably and terrifyingly, being driven at the time.

The police department notes that the officer, upon seeing the huge tree attached to the car, stopped the driver and saw that the airbags had been deployed as well.

The department released dash cam footage of the incident – which is insane:
