Traveling for The 4th of July? Have Fun in Traffic

The Auto Club is out with its traffic forecast for Independence Day and, seeing as how the 4th is on a Saturday and gas prices are cheaper than last year, everyone is planning on hitting the roads. I guess predicted high temps at or near 110 in The Coachella Valley also has something to do with it.

2.98 million So Cal residents are expected to hit the roads this weekend, the most since 2007. Their top destinations:

  1. Las Vegas
  2. San Diego
  3. San Francisco
  4. The California Central Coast
  5. The all-you-can-eat KFC in Banning

Alright, that last one was a lie to see if you were paying attention.  Yosemite and The Grand Canyon round out the list – which, for all of you heading to The Grand Canyon: here is a preview of exactly how your experience will go:

And for everyone staying in the Coachella Valley this weekend, you have an a shit ton of fireworks shows to choose from and you won’t be stuck in any of that traffic.  Of course, you will be stuck in 110 degrees and we all know how that goes:
