Tom Hanks was in Rancho Mirage and made a joke about local roads

Tom Hanks made an appearance in Rancho Mirage on Tuesday night at the public library and, hey, he made a locals joke.

The actor, who may or may not have stopped into In-N-Out Burger in the IE on his way to the Coachella Valley, chatted it up with journalist Maureen Dowd about his book Uncommon Type: Some Stories at the Rancho Mirage Writers Festival.

When Dowd asked Hanks what his first act would be if he was elected President, he nailed it with an answer involving a local street names…

He then got serious and spoke about infrastructure along with cookies and milk.
