Two adults and a 17-year-old were arrested Thursday after a man had his car and other items taken from him at gunpoint.

Police were called to Ironwood Drive just before 5 am after a man said he had been robbed of his vehicle and other valuables by multiple people at gunpoint, reports the Desert Sun.

Officers believed several people of interest were at a nearby residence and when police tried to contact them, they attempted to flee on foot, but were detained a short distance away.

After an investigation and tips from other agencies, search warrants were issued at multiple locations and several people were arrested. Authorities also recovered firearms.

Desert Hot Springs residents Christian Salas, 25, and Stephanie Dierkes, 25, were arrested along with a 17-year-old juvenile male on charges of carjacking, kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery/kidnapping.
