With Halloween just a few days away, the good people at Google have put together a map featuring the most popular Halloween costumes around the United States by city utilizing data from Google searches.
It is called Frightgeist and allows you to search national and local trends in order to find a unique costume that is not the same one everyone else at your party is wearing. For instance, in The Coachella Valley, you may want to stay away from dressing up as Moritcia Addams…
The top 5 costumes in Palm Springs are Addams Family, Harley Quinn, Angel, Incredibles, and Star Wars.
This differs from San Diego, where Star Wars is the top costume – followed by Witch, Superhero (just a generic one?), Batman, and Pirate. Los Angeles also has Star Wars as the most popular costume and should also be seeing plenty of Minnie Mouses this year.
