There are some changes happening at the Palm Springs Airport

A few changes are happening this year at Palm Springs International Airport and, before you get too excited, none of them are direct flights to Las Vegas. So what is happening at the airport?  Well…

According to the Desert Sun, renovations include an expansion of the ticketing hall, which will give the area an extra 5,000 square feet. In addition, a new baggage handling system will be installed that will help with oversized golf bags that are abundant at the facility and an extra TSA security lane, which will increase the total number of lanes to six (although, with your luck, you will still end up picking the slowest line because somehow you always do).

Police and security offices will also be moved during the year with all of the renovations being part of a $30 million construction contract awarded last year.
