The Riverside Food Lab is now open

The highly anticipated Riverside Food Lab will open to the public on Saturday. The food hall is expected to see seven of the eventual 14 tenants begin serving food – with everything from craft beer to Caribbean food to Lebanese cuisine to vegan burgers and more available.

The Food Lab is located on Market Street, next to the Fox Theater, in downtown Riverside. The building was originally constructed in 2013, with an upscale restaurant like Ruth’s Chris Steak House in mind, according to the Press Enterprise. Clearly, that didn’t go as planned, so in 2016, the city approved a proposal to turn the space into a food hall.

Eateries expected to open on Saturday include BeerFarm (a beer bar), Bolcupop (acai and corn bowls), Dhat Creole Grill (Caribbean), and Fufu’s Grill (Lebanese).

Monty’s Good Burger, a vegan burger place you may remember from Coachella, Stagecoach, and Arroyo Seco from partners that includes Goldenvoice producer Bill Fold, will have a grand opening would be Sept. 8.

Restaurants opening in the future include Augie’s Coffee Roasters, Bricks & Birch (pizza), Dia de Los Puercos (tacos), Freelyraw (raw vegan), Pig Pen Delicacy (comfort food), Soho Ramen, and Sweet Combforts (waffle pops).

Two additional eateries have been announced, but do not have their information listed on the Food Lab website: Masala Mischief (Bengal cuisine) and Wilson’s, a craft cocktail spot.

The Riverside Food Lab will be open 11 am to 11 pm daily.  Get more info here.
