The Indian Wells CEO said some pretty terrible things about women’s tennis, then apologized

The Indian Wells Tennis Garden might be looking for a new CEO soon as the man currently in that position, Raymond Moore, decided to open his mouth before the BNP Paribas Open finals on Sunday and say some pretty dumb and terrible things about women’s tennis.

Here is what Moore (guy in the white polo shirt above) had to say about the women’s tour:

Yes.  These words actually left his mouth:

“No, I think the WTA – you know, in my next life when I come back I want to be someone in the WTA, (Laughter) because they ride on the coattails of the men. They don’t make any decisions and they are lucky. They are very, very lucky.

“If I was a lady player, I’d go down every night on my knees and thank god that Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were born, because they have carried this sport. They really have.”

And while that is totally asinine, not to mention factually wrong,  Moore went even further with his dumb comments:
