A SoCal teenager has been arrested after police said he started lighting stuffed animals on fire at a Walmart.

Glendora police claim that just after midnight, a 13-year-old grabbed a lighter from an aisle displaying Christmas decorations and then lit up a nearby arrangement of stuffed animals.

A quick acting store customer was able to knock out the flames with an extinguisher (of course a customer, because you can never find a Walmart employee when you need one!).

Oddly, according the Glendora Police Facebook page, the teenager was “still in the parking lot with his family waiting for the store to reopen” (the store was closed for a bit to cleanup after the fire) – so arresting him was easy.

The teen was arrested on suspicion of arson.
