Stealing cars must be exhausting because one man could not even muster the energy to get out of a car that he allegedly stole (or even pull out of an intersection) before taking a snooze making it pretty easy for Palm Springs Police to apprehend him.

36-year-old Tristan Carl Pablo was sleeping in a 2015 Mercedes 300 at the intersection of Desert Way and Escoba Drive when authorities arrived at 9:30 p.m., reports KESQ. The Mercedes had been reported stolen earlier in the morning.

Police found several checks believed to have been stolen through the mail of several Palm Springs homes, “burglary tools”, and meth.

Pablo was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, committing a felony while out on bail, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
