San Diego: home to beaches, The Chargers, and alleged drunk pedicab drivers with large pythons wrapped around their necks

1:30am Tuesday in San Diego’s Gaslamp District, 27-year-old Travis Young was arrested after being spotted by authorities cruising around with his giant snake. He was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving (and yes, you can get that even on a pedicab). The 4-foot-long ball python snake, was seized by the San Diego County Department of Animal Services.

Ball pythons are not venomous and Young’s snake will be kept at a shelter until Young can claim it.

But let this be a lesson, the cops will have zero tolerance for you if you should choose to drunkenly pedal the streets of San Diego while showing off your large snake to everyone.
