Following Steve Sarkisian being fired as USC’s head football coach on Monday following a season of strange behavior, The LA Times has unearthed a number of receipts showing quite a lot of booze being expensed.

The Times investigated Sarkisian’s time as head coach at Washington after a former Huskies player said he the coach smelled of alcohol during team meetings and to reports of USC players that their coach “didn’t seem right” during a recent team meeting.  Players also said that Sarkisian seemed unstable during a recent game at Arizona State.

The Times investigated the coach’s tenure in Washington and came up with receipts from Sarkisian during his time with the university between 2010 and 2013.  Included in the findings were two separate visits to Don Diego’s in Indian Wells.

Sarkisian was in The Coachella Valley for the “Dawg Days in the Desert” retreat in 2012 and 2013. Receipts show that Sarkisian’s tabs included $1,023 worth of alcohol at the restaurant – including 91 shots of tequila, most of it Patron Silver.
