Coachella’s own Randy Caballero will defend his IBF Bantamweight belt in Las Vegas as part of the Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez undercard.
The undefeated Caballero will take on British boxer Lee Haskins, a southpaw who has a record of 32-3.
The two fighters have shared the same IBF Championship belt as a result of a foot injury Caballero suffered, via ESPN:
Haskins claimed the interim belt while Caballero was sidelined with the injury. Caballero won the vacant belt by unanimous decision against England’s Stuart Hall last October in Monte Carlo. He was due to make his first defense against on Aug. 8 but had to withdraw because of the foot problem. With Caballero out, Haskins (32-3, 14 KOs) won the interim belt by sixth-round knockout of Ryosuke Iwasa on June 13.
The fight will go down at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 21st and is already sold out. It will also be broadcast on pay-per-view.
