Photos: Blue Cut Fire erupts in the Cajon Pass

Firefighters are battling a 1,000-acre brush fire that erupted Tuesday morning near the 15 freeway in the Cajon Pass.

The fire has the 15 closed in both directions from the Oak Hills area to Devore, reports the Press Enterprise.

The “Blue Cut Fire” was first reported just after 10:30 a.m. By noon it had burned 300 acres. By 12:10, it had burned 1,000 acres, according to the newspaper.
