Firefighters were able to contain a vegetation fire before the blaze spread to nearby residential structures on Wednesday.
Crews were called to South Calle Encilia Wednesday morning. Photos from the Palm Springs Fire Department show just how close the fire was to residential structures, but the agency says it was able to stop it from spreading to the building:
Fire Units were able to contain the fire to effected brush and stop the fire from extending to the apartment complex.

There were no reported injuries.
