An alert from The California Highway Patrol on Wednesday notified drivers that Dillon Road between Indian Canyon Drive and Diablo Road had to be shut down due to an “out-of-control turbine”.

Officers said the turbine cannot be shut off, and eventually it will either explode and send pieces flying, or collapse and potentially hit the road.
CHP has shut down all traffic in the area at this time. It’s unclear how long Dillon Road will be closed to traffic in the area at this time.
Update: The road has been reopened and the turbine stopped spinning without exploding.
As seen on YouTube, wind turbine explosions can be pretty dangerous.
Obviously, you should avoid the area and hopefully everyone involved in containing the turbine stays safe.
