A man died Sunday night after he was shot in Desert Hot Springs.
Police were called to Palm Drive about 10:13 pm, according to KMIR. They arrived to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were taken, but were unsuccessful and the man died at the scene.
After an investigation, Matthew Gallegos of Desert of Springs, was taken into custody on Monday morning on suspicion of murder.
The identify of the victim was being withheld pending notification of his family.
