No, the La Quinta Souplantation is not closing

For those in the Coachella Valley who really, really love a salad bar, there was some scary news this week as Garden Fresh, the company that owns Souplantation, filed for bankruptcy and announced it would be shutting down 20 -30 locations. Well, good news, La Quinta is not one of them.

In fact, according to Temecula Patch, none of the California Souplantations are closing:

“None of our restaurants in California are closing as a result of the Chapter 11 financial restructuring filing,” Don Cowan, director of communications for Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. told Patch in an email.

Souplantation is best known for having a large salad bar, a bunch of soups, and a ton of old people eating there before 7 pm, when they all clear out to be home in time for Wheel and Jeopardy.
