Mike Tyson’s KIND Music Festival in Desert Hot Springs | Here’s what it’s like

An art display at the KIND Music Festival

The first KIND Music Festival took place Saturday in Desert Hot Springs at the future site of Tyson Ranch, a planned entertainment complex / glamping resort / cannabis research & design facility created and owned by former boxer Mike Tyson.

Here’s what it looked like at the festival grounds…

So, getting there was kid of a pain, as you had to park a mile away and then ride a shuttle down a f’d up dirt road and wait behind everyone trying to talk their way into VIP parking…

But, once inside it was alright.  Hey look, some kind of art and a Ferris Wheel…

A nice message to greet everyone…

As well as so many inflatable things to sit on!

And porta-potties!

Oh yeah!  Cactus Hugs takes you everywhere with the inside access to the porta-potties.

Anyway, not all of the inflatables will survive.

But there are so many that it’s probably okay.

There’s also food and we all know the West Coast is known for their pizza, chicken strips, and fries…

There’s plenty of food…

And plenty of booze…

And music…

They covered the land with astro-turf and, honestly, this fest is much more organized than a lot of other fests that have come to the desert…

Ahhh, there he is…

And four people are going to, umm, “burn time with Iron Mike”….

Anyway, that’s what it’s like as of 4 pm.

And who knows? Maybe this will be a yearly thing??
