‘I thought it was Coachella for old people,’ Jagger and Richards talk ‘Desert Trip’

The Rolling Stones are headed to the Coachella Valley – along with Dylan, McCartney, The Who, Rick Astley, Roger Waters, and Neil Young…okay one of those might be a lie, just seeing if you are paying attention – for 2 weekends of ‘Desert Trip’ in October.  Mick Jagger and Keith Richards talked about the sold-out festival to Rolling Stone (the magazine, not the band they are in).

Here is what the longtime Stones frontman had to say:

“I thought it was Coachella for old people,” Jagger joked when asked about what he thought of Desert Trip. The singer discussed the logistics of the camping-oriented festival and when asked if he planned to stay for the whole weekend (the Stones play on Friday both weekends), he said, “Maybe I’ll just get my RV and stay there for a bit longer.” Later, Jagger reveals that Dylan also has an RV.

Well, hopefully you got a camping pass because I am going to go out on a limb and say Jagger and Dylan would be awesome neighbors in the campground.  Just imagine those games of beer pong you could play with them (okay, maybe not Bob…but he would still be fun to have around)!

Keith Richards is stoked about spending time with so many great musicians, saying “I can’t believe we’re all going to be stuck in this little town together.  I mean, never have we ever all in the same place at the same time.”

You guys think they will end up going to The Nest while they are in town?
