An Ontario woman is accused of stalking her ex’s pregnant wife and getting strangers to show up at her house through Craigslist posts.

Michelle Suzanne Hadley, 29, dated a man who works as a U.S. Marshall from 2013 – 2015. The man has since gotten married to another woman, and according to the Press Enterprise, that is when things went bad.

Hadley began sending threatening emails to the woman and her unborn child, say prosecutors.  She was able to evade police by sending the emails through different computers and servers.

The pregnant woman was issued a restraining order on June 6, but Hadley violated the order, according to authorities.

Prosecutors say that Hadley also posed as the woman and responded to Craigslist ads for “rape fantasy”, sending strangers photos of the wife and information about her daily routine.

“Hadley is accused of telling the responders that the victim wanted the responders to have forcible sexual intercourse with her, even if she screamed or resisted,” the District Attorney’s Office said in a release. “Several of the responders showed up at (the victim’s) residence.”

The victim was attacked by one man before she was able to call for help.  The man fled the scene.

Hadley was arrested on June 24th after the incident, reports the OC Register.  But, she posted bail and resumed stalking the woman and replying to the Craigslist ads.

Hadley was arrested again on Thursday and charged with felony stalking with a restraining order, criminal threats, attempted forcible rape and assault, and one misdemeanor count of violating a protective order.

If convicted, Hadley faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
