Michael’s Pizzeria has called it quits at The River in Rancho Mirage. But, now there is a new tenant taking its place. And it has a doozy of a name.

Management at The River confirmed to News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 that Michael’s Pizzeria closed ten days ago, and Gioia (pronounced joya) Italian Bistro will be taking its place.
So yeah…Gioiaeuayieaq, or something like that, will soon be slinging Italian food at The River. (KESQ did not mention if it is the same as this Gioia Pizzeria with a couple of spots open in San Francisco.)
