McDonald’s is bringing back Szechuan Sauce (but just for one day)

McDonald’s is putting Szechuan Sauce back on their menu – but just for just one day.

The “Mulan McNugget Sauce,” was originally released just for a limited time to promote the Disney movie “Mulan.”  In recent years, it has gained a cult following after being heavily referenced on the animated show “Rick & Morty” and now it’s coming back…well, for a day anyway.

As McDonald’s has brought back their Buttermilk Crispy Tenders, they are hosting a one-day event where fans can get the sauce and some limited edition artwork. The event, on October 7, is only taking place at 600 McDonald’s nationwide and the only spot in the Coachella Valley is the Palm Desert location, so don’t plan on getting your sauce in the drive thru.

The sauce and posters are being given out on a first come, first serve basis starting at 2pm. You can check out more info here.

Update: Some of you noticed on Mickey D’s site for this that the Palm Desert location may only be giving away posters and not the sauce (with only a select few restaurants having the actual sauce).  This seems cruel and mean of the Golden Arches as sauce > poster every time.
