Man suspected of shooting at moving vehicle arrested in Palm Desert

A 48-year-old Palm Desert man was arrested on Friday after police say he shot numerous times at a moving vehicle.

Police responded to a report of a subject shooting at a moving vehicle within the Royal Palm gated community at about 5:42 pm on Friday, according to a news release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Officials say there were numerous reports that the suspect, Rayshaun Devon Sinclair had shot numerous times at a fleeing vehicle.

Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, K-9 units, Gang Task Force, and patrol deputies responded to the residence where witnesses stated Sinclair ran into. Deputies apprehended the suspect without incident and recovered a stolen bolt action rifle and numerous rounds of ammunition inside the residence.

Sinclair was booked at the Indio Jail.
