A 31-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after police say he entered a mobile home while wearing a mask and under the influence of a controlled substance in Desert Hot Springs.

The DHS Police Department was called about 5:15 to a mobile home park on Pierson Avenue, according to KESQ. A woman told officers a masked man had entered her residence and then ran out after her daughter screamed upon seeing him.

30 minutes later, another report of a man walking around the trailer park in a mask was called into police. Officers then spotted a man, wearing a mask and matching the description of the previous incident.

Rene Hinojosa was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
