An Oregon man claims to have received an extra topping on his Subway sandwich in the form of a dead rat.
Matt Jones claimed to have seen the rodent when an employee grabbed some spinach to throw down on the bread on October 6.
“It’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen, but it’s also the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen,” Jones told KGW, recalling his initial reaction. “I laughed because I was like, there is no way this just happened.”
So, Jones did what most people do nowadays: he posted an image of the dead rodent on Facebook.
Look at that Beast of a mouse in the spinach at Subway today! Good thing we didn't bite into it! AMAZING! WTF!!! The manager was in shock!

The health department conducted an investigation of the incident and determined that the rodent problem did not come from inside the Subway restaurant and was most likely in a bag of spinach product that was delivered there.
The restaurant has reportedly had everything sanitized and cleaned since the incident.
Subway is really having a hell of a year.
