A 49-year-old Bakersfield man was arrested over the weekend after police say he sexually harassed a teenager in the back seat of a Greyhound bus as it traveled on the 10 Freeway through the Coachella Valley.

The teen was on her way back from the Phoenix Fan Fusion comic convention when the man moved to an open seat next to her and “harassed and annoyed” her for about an hour, until she could discreetly text a family member, according to the Desert Sun.

Her family called the CHP, who pulled over the bus near Rancho Cucamonga and arrested Eric Prindle on charges of annoying or molesting a child under 18 years, harassing and touching a minor, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

The family of the girl met her where the bus was pulled over.

Prindle was on parole from a conviction for assault with a deadly weapon.
