Man arrested after 1.5 pounds of suspected meth found during traffic stop in Palm Springs

A Jurupa Valley man was arrested on Saturday night after 1.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine was discovered in a vehicle he was a passenger in.

Officers stopped the car on North Palm Canyon Drive about 10:30 pm, according to a news release. A probation compliance search was conducted on the interior of the vehicle and officers located the suspected drugs on the passenger side of the vehicle.

Ismael Huerta, 46, was placed under arrest. He faces charges related to transporting methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell.
