Las Vegas man arrested after stabbing at Cathedral City vacation rental

A Las Vegas man was arrested after police say he stabbed two people at a short-term rental in Cathedral City on Tuesday.

Police were called to the home on Tachevah Drive about 4:20 am, according to the Desert Sun. Officers arrived to find a group of people detaining 20-year-old Francisco Fisher. After being handcuffed, police say Fisher tried kicking an officer and a window.

One victim was stabbed with a kitchen knife in the head, back, and upper body while in bed. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. There was no word on their condition.

Another victim also was stabbed and suffered minor injuries. It’s believed the group was renting the home while in town for a conference.

Fisher is being charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
