Lake Elsinore is trying to make the best of singer(?) Ariana Grande’s recent, weird, anti-American doughnut-licking stop in town.

The town’s minor league baseball team, The Storm, held a very patriotic “Donut Tread on Us” event at the stadium on Wednesday night.

Fans entering the stadium were treated to complimentary red, white, and blue doughnuts from Wolfee Donuts, the site of Ariana’s incident.

The people of Lake Elsinore seemed to really enjoy the pastries…

There were also events including a doughnut ring toss, a doughnut licking contest (below), and a salute to Demi Lovato (zing!) – who replaced Grande in the MLB All Star concert.

All of this, because this is the biggest thing to ever happen to Lake Elsinore.
