La Quinta traffic stop leads to arrest for drug possession with intent to sell

An Indio man was arrested this week after police say they found him in possession of drugs with intent in a traffic stop in La Quinta.

The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic enforcement stop of Thomas Prince, 43, in the on Adams Street about 8 pm on Tuesday, according to a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. During the traffic stop, Prince, of Indio, was arrested for driving on a suspended license.

Upon further investigation, it was determined Prince was in possession fentanyl, Xanax, hydrocodone and cocaine with the intent to sell. Prince was booked at the county Jail in Indio.
