A 24-year-old La Quinta man was arrested on Tuesday after police say he tried to kill a man in his early 70s.
At about 8:30 am on Monday, police were called to a home on Eisenhower Drive due to a report of battery, reports the Desert Sun. The victim was taken the intensive care unit of a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Tuesday, Joshua Garcia was arrested about 8 a.m. on suspicion of attempted homicide and elder abuse. Garcia is being held at the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
