LA Laker Has a Second House Just For His Shoes

Not much has gone right with the Lakers this season, but guard Nick Young, aka Swaggy P. (ugh, I hated typing that) seems to be doing ok.

Recently, Young was given a new ride by his girlfriend rapper Iggy Azalea. And then there is this anecdote in a profile in Sports Illustrated about the 6,600-square-foot home that the couple recently purchased:

The property, tucked behind a gate in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Tarzana, comes with a detached building that Young is converting into a “shoe house.” He employs not one but two “shoe keepers,” who oversee his 500-plus pairs of sneakers, a collection that includes Vans fitted with roller-skating wheels.

So yes, maybe NBA players are paid a bit too much when they can afford a home just for their shoes – but, Young is creating jobs.  I imagine his two hired “shoe keepers” are just thrilled to get out of bed every morning.
