KMIR reporter unknowingly shoots segment in front of venomous rattlesnake

Palm Springs television reporter Luzdelia Caballero had an unexpected visitor in her shot while reporting from the Salton Sea on Wednesday.

The rattlesnake wasn’t noticed by Caballero while she was preparing her shoot while the camera rolls, but was noticed later, giving KMIR’s Weather Guesser Mike Everett a chance to show off his knowledge of rattlesnakes during a segment the TV station calls “The Brighter Side of the News” but should actually be called “Hire Camera People Again So They Can Spot Rattlesnakes When They Are This Close to Reporters!!”

On the bright side, it is nice to see a story filmed at the Salton Sea showcasing wildlife that is still alive.
