Republican Kimberlin Brown Pelzer is running really far behind in the campaign donation department to incumbent Democrat Raul Ruiz. Monday, she tweeted out a request for donations and, after a short math lesson, things got a bit intense.
After explaining that people call her to say that they are too broke to donate to her campaign (thanks, Republican tax cuts), Brown Pelzer, who is definitely a Coachella Valley resident, offers up a simple math lesson while standing in front of a tractor parked in a date palm grove because I guess every campaign video has to involve some sort of vehicle now.
Then, about the :41 mark, things get pretty serious.

So why was this appeal needed?
Well, The Desert Sun reports that Coachella Valley gas station king and Trump supporter Nachattar Chandi and his wife Susana have donated $1.3 million to to federal-level campaigns and committees for the 2018 midterm elections – but none of those funds have been donated to Brown Pelzer’s campaign.
