Tony Hawk paid a surprise visit to Guy Tedesco Park in Desert Hot Springs this week only and chatted it up with one of the young skaters there – who is probably going to be a bit surprised to learn the “skater and dad” he talked to is arguably the biggest legend in skateboarding.
The conversation was detailed by Hawk, who is no stranger to these parts, in a tweet:
Kid at skatepark (as I arrive): “you a good skater?
me: sometimes
him: you ever been here?
me: no
him: you travel a lot?
me: yes, perhaps too much
him: are you a YouTuber?
me: no, I’m just a skater and a dad
him: wanna see me do a jump?
me: absolutely
