Even though his TV show is on hiatus, John Oliver returned Sunday night to discuss how awful New Year’s Eve is.
“New Year’s Eve is the worst,” said Oliver. “It combines three of the least pleasant things known to mankind: Forced interaction with strangers, being drunk, cold and tired and having to stare at Ryan Seacrest for five solid minutes, waiting for him to tell you what the time is.”
But all is not lost, Oliver gave some pretty helpful hints as to how to get out of any New Year’s party you may have already been invited to.
