Joe Galli – a longtime reporter / heckler humiliator / human GIF machine / giant colon visitor – is leaving KESQ for a new job in the Lone Star State.

Galli made the announcement on Instagram, saying, “Working at @kesq_news_channel_3 and @cbslocal2 has been an amazing and enriching experience. Honestly one of the best jobs I have ever had. But it’s time to make the next big step in my broadcast journalism career. I have accepted a position as a reporter for @kabb29 & @news4sa in #SanAntonio Texas.”

“I love and cherish the time I spent with all the wonderful people here in the Coachella Valley,” Galli added. “I’ve made lifelong friends and got to be very close to family, which is a luxury many TV reporters do not get. This next step will be a challenge I am looking forward to taking on with gustos and determination. I’ll be on air in the CV for a couple more weeks before I make my new home in Alamo City. In that regard, I will forever remember the wonderful people of the 760. #ReporterLife”

Galli joined KESQ in 2014 after working gigs in the Poconos of Pennsylvania and Toledo, Ohio.

He leaves the Coachella Valley without ever taking me up on my offer of a free beer for winning that weird tournament thing we did way back when and will be missed from the local teevee.
