The Ivy Palm Resort in Palm Springs has announced plans for a renovation to that will see updates to the guest rooms, lobby, outdoor pool area, a new restaurant, and a new name.

The hotel, on North Palm Canyon Drive, sold in May 2018 to owner-operator hospitality management company, Oxygen Hospitality, which owns and operates a portfolio of branded and independent hotels. Oxygen plans on rebranding the hotel with a new name – though no timeframe for that was disclosed.

The renovation will come in two phases, according to a press release. Phase One will begin in June, with an anticipated fall 2019 completion.  The project will update all 100 rooms of the Ivy Palms plus two outdoor pools and public spaces and a redesign of the main entrance and outside bar.

Phase Two of the renovation, targeted for completion in 2020, will see the property bring a new restaurant and additional rooms.

The hotel will remain open during renovations and sectioned off to minimize disruption to guests at the property.

A quick check on Booking.com shows rooms (with breakfast included) going for $165 this weekend at the property.
